Robert Jerome “Jerry” Joshua began his journey to the Spirit World on Aug. 3, 2025, in Devils Lake, ND. Jerry’s Wake will be on Aug. 14 at the Fort Totten Recreation Center beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a time of prayer and sharing of memories at 7:00 p.m. The procession to Fort Totten will leave from City Plaza, Devils Lake at 4:00 p.m. His Funeral Service will be on Aug. 15 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fort Totten Recreation Center with burial in St. Thomas Episcopal Cemetery, rural Crow Hill.

Harold H. Rinas, 91, of Cando, ND, and formerly of Egeland, ND, passed away on Aug. 7, 2025, at Eventide Heartland Care Center in Devils Lake, ND. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Aug. 22 at the All Nations Lutheran Church in Rock Lake, ND. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

Arden Leroy Toso, age 87, of Esmond, ND, passed away from Parkinson’s disease on Aug. 9, 2025, at home surrounded by family, under their loving care and with the help of Heart of America Hospice. Funeral Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Esmond on Aug. 16 at 2 p.m. with visitation held 2 hours prior. Austin J. Azure, age 43, of Rolette, ND, passed away on Aug. 5, 2025. Visitation will be held on Aug. 11, 2025, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND, at 6:00 p.m., Rosary and Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Aug.12 at 10:00 a.m. also at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. A meal and fellowship follow the Funeral Mass at the Fiddlers Hall, rural Belcourt, ND.

Carol Marie Lee (Klein), 88, of Devils Lake, ND, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2025, at Eventide Heartland Care after a long battle with COPD.

Marlene Andrea Paulson, 85, Michigan, ND, passed away Aug. 6, 2025, at Bethany on University, Fargo, ND. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Aug. 15, 2025, at the Michigan Lutheran Church, Michigan, ND, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Michigan Cemetery. Marjorie Ann Nelson of Devils Lake, ND, passed away at CHI, St. Alexius Health, Devils Lake Hospital on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 with family by her side. She was 76 years of age.

Ellen M. Hager, 83, of Devils Lake passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at CHI, St. Alexius Health, Devils Lake Hospital.

Marlys Elaine Elvick, age 85, passed away peacefully at Good Samaritan Society in Lakota, ND on Aug. 2, 2025.

Deborah Ann Minette, 72 of Wichita, Kansas, formerly of Devils Lake, ND, passed away on July 26, 2025 at the Life Care Center of Wichita with loving family at her side.
