Located south of Lakota, ND, 10 miles on ND Highway 1 the Stump Lake Historical Village and Museum is a destination location. You don’t need a reason to go to the Stump Lake Village just come for the fun!

Sunday Schedule, August 31

7 a.m. Threshermen’s Breakfast is served starting at 7 a.m. and until 1 p.m. Enjoy a hearty breakfast of pancakes, hash browns, sausage, scrambled eggs, coffee and orange juice. There’s maple syrup and home made chokecherry syrup, your choice, as well!

9 a.m. A church service will be conducted by Rev. Jeff Kapelle in the old Stave Lutheran Church in the Village. The gift shop opens in Main Street Hall at 9 a.m., too.

At 10 a.m. there will be a Spinning Yarn Demo in the museum theater and the HUGE “Indoor” craft and vending show opens at 10 a.m. Face painting begins in the Craft Building (until 4 p.m.) and Pony Rides presented by Zacha Farms begins at 10 a.m. and goes until 3 p.m.

The first live music concert in the Main Street Theater is Country Artist Rick Adams starting at 12 noon to 1:30 p.m.

At 2 p.m. the Parade begins featuring Massey Harris tractors this year, but there will be plenty of other brands, as well.

Following the parade there will be lefse making and butter churning in the Food Building at 2:30 p.m.

3 p.m. is the slow tractor race.

Also at 3 p.m. is another concert in the Theater featuring “Stealin’ Country” to 3:30 p.m.

3:30 p.m. is the Kid’s Pedal Tractor Pull

Monday Schedule, September 1

9 a.m. the Village Gift Shop opens

10 a.m. the Indoor Craft and Vendor Show begins in the commercial building, there will be a spinning yarn demo in the theater, Face Painting int he Craft Building and pony rides also at 10 a.m.

At noon Triplicity performs in the theater until 1:30 p.m.

The parade starts at 2 p.m. down Main Street.

Lefse making and butter churning demos start at 2:30 p.m. just as soon as the parade is finished.

The Stump Lake Tractor Club Tractor Pull is at 3 p.m.

The final event is the Kid’s Money Scramble NE of the Craft Show Building at 3:30 p.m.

Don’t forget the homemade juneberry pies and Sons of Norway rommegrout in the big barn for sale as long as supplies last.

There will be ice cream and floats for sale on Main Street, food trucks with their featured items and much more to see and do and taste at the 29th annual Stump Lake Historical Village & Museum Threshing Bee. Everyone is welcome!

Bring the whole family for two full days of old-fashioned fun, live demonstrations, music, food, and hands-on activities!

Admission is Adults: $10; Kids (6–12): $5; and Children under 6 are FREE!
