Fae Merece Erickson (Adolphson), age 92, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on August 19 at North Memorial Hospital in Minneapolis.

Fae was born on Nov. 9, 1932, to Carl and Florence Adolphson at their home in Argyle, MN. She attended her early school years in a one-room schoolhouse and later graduated from Argyle High School. Fae went on to earn her Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Minnesota.

On Oct. 10, 1953, Fae married the love of her life, Jim Erickson. They shared 55 wonderful years together. After spending a few years in Minnesota, they moved to Devils Lake, ND, in 1956 where they opened a photography studio. Devils Lake became their home for nearly five decades, where they raised their family, built lifelong friendships, and grew deep roots in the community. Her final 21 years were spent in Plymouth, MN, where she treasured being close to family.

Fae and Jim were blessed with four children: Becky Boehmer, Paul (Diana), Kelly (Jill), and Jill (Mark). She was a proud grandmother to Heather Giordano, Jon (Kate) Boehmer, Erin (Jason) Disy, Matthew (Charli) Boehmer, Briana Erickson, Jim Erickson, Stephanie (Casey) Auen, Hanna (Adam) Fischer, Charlie (Megan) Erickson, Jordan (Emma) Schmidt, Lauren Schmidt, and Haley (Kamal) Martin. She also cherished her 12 great-grandchildren and was joyfully anticipating the arrival of two more in the coming months.

Fae is survived by her sister, Kathleen (Earl) Riopelle, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim, and siblings Fern Lundgren, Dale Adolphson, Joy Pearson, Lynn Adolphson, and Carolyn Hess.

Fae was deeply devoted to her family and cherished every moment spent with them. She was a woman of strong faith, warm curiosity, a kind heart, and an enduring spirit. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
