Staff of the Devils Lake Altru Clinic flanked by Altru CEO Todd Forkel (far left) and Altru President Dr. Joshua Deere (far right) cut the ribbon Monday, July 7 to officially open the new Dialysis Unit in the clinic’s lower level. They plan to start serving patients in the new 12-chair unit next week. Both Deere and Forkel stated in their remarks that this “is just the beginning” of the plans they have for the Lake Region which includes the long-awaited permission to acquire CHI St. Alexius Hospital – Devils Lake.
