The 2024 Homecoming King and Queen have been crowned. At the Devils Lake High School gym on Thursday, Sept. 26, seniors Fausten Olson and Torri Fee were crowned by their peers after the Firebirds competed in a hard fought volleyball game against the Spartans.

“It’s really exciting,” said Fee. Fee is in the National Honor Society and Skills USA. She also participates in volleyball and basketball. When she graduates, she said she will be attending Lake Region State College.

Olson plays baseball and basketball. He helped his teams win state championships in both. He also loves to hunt and fish. “It feels great. I mean, all my friends told me they’re going to vote for me. So it was kind of special,” he said. “All that support through the school system was nice to see.” After he graduates, he said he wants to become an electrician.

It is quite apt that Olson and Fee were voted king and queen as they’re also dating.
