H/WC, previously unranked, moved up to No. 5.

The three remaining first-place votes went to Ellendale/Edgeley/Kulm, which jumped from No. 3 to No. 2 with 65 points.

In nine-man football, New Rockford-Sheyenne/Maddock was ranked No. 1 for the second straight week. The Rockets are off to a 2-0 start and have won 14 in a row dating back to last season. They most recently beat St. John 70-6.

North Border slid down to No. 4 despite beating Four Winds 54-14 on Friday.

The Division AA poll was released a day earlier, on Tuesday. Devils Lake remained unranked after losing 42-12 to No. 2 Kindred in its opener.
