Devils Lake 16, Valley City 17

The Firebirds allowed 11 runs in the first inning. Calin Boline went six innings in relief, and gave up three runs in the bottom of the seventh to lose in walk-off fashion after Devils Lake scored seven in the top of the seventh.

Julia McIvor went 4-for-4 with five RBIs. Riley Remmick, Tylie Brodina and Boline each had three hits.

Jalynn Swanson went 3-for-4 with an inside-the-park home run and four RBIs.

Mason Palmer pitched a complete game shutout, while Fausten Olson had three hits. The Firebirds have won eight of their last nine.

Bailey Flaagan and McKenna Anderson each recorded two hits and three walks. The Chargers are 4-2.

The Royals drew 16 walks and forced UND’s starter to throw 170 pitches in six innings. Marshall Herman went 4-for-5 with a home run and five RBIs. Nicholas Smith also homered.

LRSC finished the regular season with a 10-30 overall record.
