The LRSC Royals continued their first playoff season last week for their last games of October.

The men’s hockey team played against Dakota College at Bottineau twice. On Thursday, they played at home, and on Saturday they played away. Dakota College at Bottineau is considered one of the best ice hockey teams with players going on to play in the NHL. That experience boded well for the Lumberjacks as they bested the Royals in both games 4-0 and then 10-2. The men’s team is currently riding a 4 game-losing streak. Their overall season so far is 2-4 They will look to rebound when they take on Williston State College and Jamestown in all home games next month.

The women’s team fared better when they took on Iowa State. They won the first game beating Iowa 2-0 on Saturday. The Royals lost the second game on Sunday 4-3. Their overall season so far is 2-3. Next month they take on Dakota College at Bottineau and Assiniboine.
