The NLRA Late Model feature was one for the highlight reels. With position swamps and lead changes. John Seng clinches his second win of the Season at the Devils Lake Speedway and collected his first NLRA win. John fell back to third for eight laps before regaining second for a lap then back to third for another lap before officially taking second place back at lap 17. At lap 20 John passed Brad Seng for the lead and holding off his old man the remaining five laps to take the checkered flag. With Brad Seng finishing second. Shane Edginton finishing third. Tyler Peterson finished fourth. Coming from the back of field after an early caution Mike Greseth rallied to a fifth place finish.
Bailey Cousins held off the wolves in the Wissota Midwest Mod feature to collect his First Devils Lake Speedway feature win of the Season. Jory Berg was on his way through the field running down cousins. With three laps to go, Berg tagged the infield tire and spun. Berg was sent tail of the field but was able to rally back to a fifth place. Austin Hunter, Randy Thompson, Logan Salazar and Jory Berg had a stiff competition lap and lap. Swapping positions and running side by side most of the race. Logan Salazar charged his way to a second place finish with Randy Thompson finishing third and Austin Hunter finishing fourth.
Tucker Pederson collects another win in his hunt for a National Points title. With Seth Klostreich charging up three positions to finish second. Brian Johanson had a back and forth battle with the Legend Stoney Kruk too finish third and Stoney Kruk settling for fourth place. Drew Peterson rounded out the Top 5.
First time out for the 2023 season appeared to lucrative for Daniel Bromstad. The Field was plaqued by spin outs and breakdowns. Two drivers were forced to retire after causing two cautions. With one having a mechanical issue. The last two laps were a straight up battle between Bromstad and Erik Wenstad. Bromstad drove from the tail of the field to finish First. With Wenstad starting pole and finishing second. Tate Bullis finished third. Austin Harris finished fourth and Hudson Hooker finished fifth.
Devils Lake Speedway will be back in action Saturday, July 29 for Tronson Grain night with the Hometrack Rules Purestocks, Wissota Street Stocks, Wissota Midwest Mods, Western Renegade Non-Wing Sprints and Trophy Class. Races will start at 7 p.m.
