Lake Region State College announces that Brady Stein has accepted the full-time position of Men’s Hockey Coach and Strength & Conditioning Coach, effective March 1, 2026.
Stein has served as the college’s part-time men’s hockey coach since September 2023 and has also led the women’s hockey program as interim head coach over the past two years. During Stein’s time as hockey coach, he has demonstrated strong leadership, a steady presence for student-athletes, and a commitment to building a positive culture both on and off the ice.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to lead the student athletes full-time. Over the past three seasons, we’ve built a strong foundation and transitioning to a full-time role allows me to invest even more into developing our culture, recruiting high-character players, and pushing our program to the next level,” Stein said.
In his new full-time role, Stein will oversee the men’s hockey program while supporting the overall development and performance of all student-athletes through strength and conditioning initiatives. His work will continue to focus on student success, athletic growth, and fostering a strong connection between athletics and the campus community.
“I’m excited about the future of men’s hockey at LRSC and I look forward to continue working to build a hockey program our players, college, and community can be proud of,” Stein added.
LRSC President Carmen Simone said she looks forward to the continued impact of Stein’s leadership.
“Having Coach Stein on campus in a full-time capacity provides students with consistent guidance and mentorship, helping them to reach their athletic and academic potential. His presence contributes to a stronger sports program and a more vibrant campus community.”
