The funeral service for Aimee Peterson, Litchville, ND, was held Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Grace Free Lutheran Church, Valley City. She passed away April 15 at Sanford Health Center, Fargo, ND.
Aimee Lee Peterson was born in Pittsburg, PA, the daughter of David and Pat Fix (Johnson). Aimee lived in Rolla, MO, on a Quarter Horse Ranch which her dad ran until first grade when answering the call of North Dakota, (where Pat was born), the family moved to a farm near Fairdale, ND. Aimee attended Fairdale Public School and later Edmore Public School graduating in 1985. After graduation, Aimee attended Trinity Bible College, and East Grand Forks Technical Institute. It was here she met the love of her life, Paul Peterson. They married June 11, 1988, in Fairdale, ND. Aimee and Paul farmed until 1995 at which time Paul enrolled in Trinity Bible College to become a Pastor. After graduating, Aimee, Paul and family begin to serve the First Reformed Church of Litchville, ND and the North Marion Reformed Church of Marion, ND.
One of the highlights of Aimee’s life was her Missionary trip to the Philippines, it was here that she got to share the love of Christ with those in need of God’s salvation. This desire to share the love of Christ defined her life for those that knew her. She just loved to be around people, whether it was working at a Dental Office in Lakota when first married, to being a Para for many students at Litchville-Marion School, driving school bus, helping coach girls’ basketball, teaching Sunday School, helping with VBS, Aimee loved to help people. She even taught one student how to blow their nose when she was a para, something she was very proud of. For those that knew Aimee, their lives were never the same, her love, compassion, humor and so much more overflow out of her and into the lives of them. She truly was a wonderful Christian lady whose memory will live on in so many of you. May God bless those whom she encountered with His love and peace in this time of sorrow.

Daughter Oriana Peterson, (Nick Cortese); son Ethan, (Mikenna) Peterson, and their children, Kinsley, Declan, and Sutton, Middle River, MN; parents Dave and Pat Fix, Devils Lake, ND; brother Greg (Jill) Fix, Apple Valley, MN; sister Melissa (Winston) Johnson, Edmore, ND; brother-in-law Peter Peterson, Renton WA. Donald Peterson, Grand Forks, ND; sister-in-law Mary Ellen Oland, Benton City, WA; nephews Devon (Katie Johnson) Langdon, ND, Dylan Johnson, Langdon, ND, Austin Fix, Eagan MN, Brandon (McKensie) Oland, Norfolk, VA, Ryan (Lauren) Oland, Saint Paul, MN, Garrett (Ashly) Peterson, Crookston, MN; nieces, Ruthie Fix, Eagan MN; Beth (Nate) Brandenberg, Orono, MN, Nicole (Nick) Hulst, Cedar Rapids, IA, and Daniell Oland, Benton City, WA.
She was preceded in death by her Grandparents, Howard (Lillian) Johnson, Henry O and Ruth Fix; her uncle Daniel Fix; aunt Kerry Sullivan; her In-laws, Vincent and Mary Peterson, sisters-in-law Nona Peterson, and Shirley Peterson.
