LaVerne M. Bear, 69 of the Spirit Lake Nation began her journey to the Spirit World on Monday, February 9, 2026 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

The Wake for LaVerne was on Feb. 15, 2026 at the Tekakwitha Center, St. Michael, ND beginning at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Services were on Feb. 16, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Tekakwitha Center. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
