The Devils Lake Volunteer Fire Department’s big Ice Fishing Tournament #39 was held this past weekend and the following individuals were some of the winners announced.
Fishing prizes:
Perch:
In the Perch Category, the top prize of $2,000 went to Brian Bassett from Fisher, MN for a 1.32 lbs. perch.
2nd prize, a Ford Bronco went to John Schlatmann, Devils Lake, ND, for a 1.31 lbs. perch.
3rd prize, $1,000 went to Jesse Hendricks, Bismarck, ND for a 1.26 lbs. perch.
4th prize, $750 went to Travis Jacobson from Leonard, ND for a 1.12 lbs. fish.
5th prize, $500, went to Jessica Helland, Park River, ND for a 1.08 lbs. perch.
Walleye:
1st prize: $2,000 went to Bradley Stopplewort, Jamestown, ND for his 1.9 lbs. walleye
2nd prize: $1,500 went to Nick Blumenblat from Denver, CO for a 1.82 lbs.
3rd. prize: $1,000 went to Paul Leeman, West Fargo, ND for a 1.7 lbs.
4th prize: a UTV went to Michael Lien, Grand Forks, ND for a 1.62 lbs.
5th prize: $500 went to Bryant Nutting, Joliett, MT for a 1.58 lbs.
Northern Pike:
1st prize: $2,000 went to Jeremy Newly, Was, WI for his 3.76 lb. Northern
2nd prize: $1,500 went to Seth Thoreson, Watford City, ND for a 3.46 lbs.
3rd prize: a Hardshell fish house went to Matthew Hands, Oakes, Nd for a 2.4 lbs.
4th prize: $750 went to Nathan Belgrade, Dunseith, ND for a 2.26 lbs.
5th prize: $500 went to Kenley Crissler, Belcourt, ND for a 1.82 lbs.
