Retiring, not seeking re-election in 2024
“Looking back through 32 years as a member of the ND State House of Representatives, I am overwhelmed by the gratitude I feel for the opportunity to serve my state and community. My family and I are thankful to the people who elected me to this great honor. Our lives have been impacted in so many positive ways. I was chosen to serve as the ND Speaker of the House of Representatives for the 2023 session. This certainly was a highlight and a humbling experience for me.”
“For everything, there comes a time to make difficult decisions. That time is here. I will miss the process, the position, and my great colleagues in ND government. My family has supported me throughout my years of service, picking up and keeping things running smoothly at home. I am so grateful for their love and support. Now is the time to set aside the job as legislator and go home. I am not seeking election in the upcoming 2024 election I will be retired from the ND Legislature as of December 2024.”
