Devils Lake High School held its 133rd commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 24, beginning at 2 p.m. at the Devils Lake Sports Center.
A total of 114 seniors walked the stage and graduated, beginning the next chapter of their lives. The prelude and processional was performed by the high school’s orchestra.
The presentation of colors and national anthem was led by the JROTC Color Guard.
Cuthead Sioux performed “Flag Song” with their drum.
Jordan Vannett, the student council president, gave the opening remarks.
Senior class president Caber Bryce Volk addressed his fellow classmates, congratulating them for their hard work and efforts.
Principal Ryan Hanson presented the class of 2026 and congratulated the seniors for their accomplishments.
The students then walked the stage and received their diplomas, with senior advisor and teacher Chrystal Strid presenting their names. Board of education member Jason Hodous awarded the diplomas to each graduating senior.
Afterwards, Cuthead Sioux performed “Graduation Song”, and Honor Society president Julia McIvor gave the closing remarks.
The ceremony ended with the orchestra performing the recessional.
