According to Shawna Middleton, director, the Lake Region Public Library in Devils Lake is having their Spring Book Sale starting April 17 through April 23.
Volunteers are unpacking boxes and boxes of books to fill the entranceway hall and public meeting room. By Friday they will be organized and each table or box labelled.
April 17 the sale opens with $1 paperback and $2 hardcover sales.
Saturday, April 18 will start the $5 bag sale with bags provided.
On April 20 the $5 bag sale continues through April 23 until all books are boxed back up.
April 19 – 25 is National Library Week
In other news from the library, for National Library Week they are planning a very special event with Electric Beetle Tattoo on Friday, April 24 from 12 to 6 p.m. The only catch is you must be 18 years of age or older to participate.
LRPL will be set up at Electric Beetle and you can sign up for a library card and enter a raffle while you wait for your tattoo! You must have a valid and unexpired ID. One sign up per person (first come first served). Arms and legs only. No custom designs. No alterations, flipping or resizing. Cash preferred! Electric Beetle Tattoo says, “Thank you for following our rules!”
