There has been conjecture for quite some time that one of the major political parties has no interest in maintaining a representative democracy or republic. Republic is defined as a state in which supreme power is held by the people and their elected representatives, and which has an elected or nominated president rather than a monarch. Democracy is defined as a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives. These terms are closely related and often are used interchangeably. As the picture of replacing democracy or republic with some much more restrictive form of national governance becomes clearer, don’t be fooled by the misdirection of being a republic or democracy – watch closely what is replacing what we have.
For some time, the oligarchists (very wealthy and major corporations) have wanted a form of government that they could more easily influence and control what would benefit their ability to increase their personal and corporate wealth. An oligarchy is defined as a small group of people having control of a country, organization, or institution. They have attempted, with some modicum of success, to use the current political process to shape the government into what they want, but it is taking too long because of the pesky voters, and they want faster results. The central mission of the oligarchists has been hidden from much public scrutiny, but now has been written down in the form of an action plan. The Heritage Foundation, an extreme right wing and oligarchists supported think tank, has developed an actual report that outlines the basis for radically changing the type of government in the US. The 800+ page report is a chilling and sobering look at a system of government that very much resembles the US having an autocratic, dictatorial, and fascist type of government which does not govern but controls the public in a manner benefiting the oligarchists.
What is being proposed is that those who have the most influence and control over government, the oligarchs, particularly at the state and federal levels, have been gradually moving our government toward something more useful for their purposes. Their central purpose involves an accelerated movement of financial resources toward those with the most wealth, either from a corporate or personal standpoint. Ultimately, they have the need for a strongman President that will take vengeful, brutal, and quick action against any portion of the public which does not simply fall in line with the wishes and dictates of the oligarchist handpicked leader. This will expedite changing government to something easily utilized by oligarchs to subjugate the population and continue the transfer of wealth to the wealthiest in society.
What we could see if the 2024 Presidential election ushers in one of the favored oligarchists candidates will likely be more than most people can imagine. Freedom of speech will be only what is allowed by those monitoring things for the oligarchist leader. Although not initially, those expressing free thought and expression in the media will be arrested and jailed as seen in most authoritarian repressive countries ruled by strongman leaders. Travel will be restricted and tightly controlled to minimize outside influence on the population. As a prime example, efforts are underway, in several states, to restrict the travel of women to seek reproductive health care in less restrictive states. Federal civil services will be replaced by employees who make loyalty pledges to the leader, regardless of their competence level for the job. Education will be transformed so that history reflects the wishes of the government, not on what truly happened (much like what is taking place in Florida) with the full intention of creating an ill-educated population. A less educated population can be more easily manipulated and less likely to question the edicts handed down from the oligarchist leader. This transformation may appear benign at first but will rather quickly become engrained in society because any protests will be quickly and forcefully put down by a loyal, reference loyalty pledge, law enforcement and military. The constitution will become a meaningless document unless a particular provision benefits the strongman leader.
The forces supporting governmental transformation away from a democracy or republic represent the most wealthy and powerful segments of our society. It is important to make prudent decisions when electing our governmental representation in the next few election cycles to keep the oligarchs at bay from ceasing full control so that the Heritage Foundation plan cannot be put into motion. If the Heritage plan is set in motion, with a properly aligned cast of characters that possess little interest in maintaining government by, for and of the people, it will be very difficult to reverse the course. Now that they have a detailed plan of action it has become more relevant what the oligarchists want and what needs to be forcefully opposed by making informed and proper decisions when voting in the future. Having millions of voters remain ignorant and highly gullible could produce a truly horrific outcome that will not represent the wishes of most Americans.
