Anthony “Tony” McDonald “Sung Togada Wicasa” (Wild Horse Man), Deacon Tony McDonald, beloved father, brother, grandfather, uncle, great grandfather, and relative was called to his heavenly rest on Dec. 7, 2025. He was in the care of HIA Hospice and family members at his home in Fort Totten, ND.

A Wake Vigil will be held Dec. 11 at Crow Hill Wellness Center, rural Fort Totten, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Prayer Service and Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. The procession to Crow Hill will leave at 4 p.m. on Thursday from City Plaza, Devils Lake. Dad requested no overnight wake be held. At 9 p.m., Deacon Tony will be transferred to Seven Dolors Church, Fort Totten to rest in his lifetime church overnight.

On Friday, final viewing will be from 9-11 a.m. at Crow Hill Wellness Center. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tony will be laid to rest at St Jerome’s cemetery next to his wife, Vina McDonald.
