Two from 1957: My “Calendar Girl” and my “2-10” 4-door sedan, Burnished Brandywine, Pearl
This is my 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 that is a ‘Full Custom’. It came out of a Good Guys Show in the Carolinas into Pennsylvania. The new owner (in PA), was a pin striper, and he put his personal touch with the custom pin striping on it.
It is shaved, nosed and decked! It has a 1953 Chevy grill and all seams are welded so there is a ‘smooth’ look!
It has the original 312 Cubic Inch engine in it and it’s a 3 speed manual transmission with the shifter on the column. It’s considered a “two door sedan”.
I found it on Facebook Marketplace one morning at 6:15 a.m., and by 10:30 a.m. I owned it!
I got it a few weeks later and have enjoyed it for a few years. It’s a great car and one of my favorites in my collection. It goes by the name of “CALENDAR GIRL.”
This is my 1957 “2-10”. Note that it is a 4 door sedan! It came out of “The Toy Shop” in Grand Forks, ND. It was under construction at the time of the death of its builder, Darrel.
Some collectors do not like 4 door cars, but I love them! I bought the car in an unfinished condition and wound up making it really special. It has a new GM Crate 502 Cubic Inch engine, 4L60E transmission, and a Moser Rear end with Strange axles. It is “ONE HOT 4 DOOR SLEEPER”.
I am not usually a ‘big block’ guy, but this car is nice and quiet and the power is awesome…. The color is ‘Burnished Brandywine, Pearl’.
“LOVE THOSE 4 DOOR CARS!!!
