HARWOOD, N.D. – On Monday, Nov. 24, Senator John Hoeven, along with members of the Fargo Memorial Honor Guard (FMHG) and federal, state and local leaders, will break ground on the Veterans Memorial Center at the Fargo National Cemetery (FNC). This follows Hoeven’s successful efforts to secure an agreement with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), including VA Secretary Doug Collins and VA Under Secretary for Memorial Affairs (USMA) Sam Brown, to approve the conceptual design advanced by the Hoeven-led community working group in partnership with the FMHG.
USMA Brown will be joining Monday’s groundbreaking ceremony at Hoeven’s invitation. This milestone comes as the latest in the senator’s efforts to expand the cemetery’s footprint and ensure it has the facilities required to adequately address the needs of veterans, their families and volunteers.
