Dec. 1 – Lights of Mercy, 8th annual Community Tree Lighting 5:30 p.m. on the CHI Hospital front grounds. Purchase a light in memory of, in honor of, prayers for or Angel of Hope; blue lights $10, Green lights $25, yellow lights $50, red lights $100, purple lights $250 and to sponsor a tree trunk $500. White Angel of Hope lights are in memory of infants and/or children who have passed away, $10. Deadline for booklet, Nov. 25.

Dec. 3 – St. Olaf Lutheran Church Bazaar 601 6th Street NE come for coffee and sweet rolls at 8 a.m. and do your holiday shopping for handmade items, candies and baked goods, lefse, other gift items and stay for a Swiss steak dinner starting at 11 a.m.

Dec. 3 – Holiday Mall Christmas Craft Show 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the Holiday Mall, College Drive South, Devils Lake.

Dec. 4 – LRSC Precision Ag Club serving Breakfast with Santa from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Hofstad Ag Center, 1801 College Drive.

Dec. 7 – 27 – Let it Glow! Holiday lights competition in Devils Lake.

Dec. 17 – Holiday Craft Vendor Show 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the ballrooms of the Spirit Lake Casino, Saint Michael.

Dec. 18 – “Kickin’ with the Gnomies” Just For Kix Holiday Dance Show, 3 p.m. in the DLPS Sports Center. Admission $7 per adult, $5 for students.

Jan. 26, 27 & 28 – Devils Lake Volunteer Fire Department’s Ice Fishing Tournament with events all weekend long in the Memorial Building and fishing on the ice of Six Mile Bay Saturday. The BIG drawing party takes place Saturday evening at 7 p.m. and a hearty Fisherman’s dinner will be served for sale at 4 p.m. until the food is gone.
