March 17 – 19 – Meredith Willson’s The Music Man will be performed at the Belle Mehus Auditorium in downtown Bismarck, 7 p.m. plus a 2 p.m. matinee Saturday, March 18 for high school students who are free to attend with their student IDs.
March 20 – 23 – Prairie View Elementary School is having a Book Fair Monday 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Tuesday 8 a.m. – 7:30 p.m., Wednesday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Thursday 8 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. Cash and checks made out to DLPS are accepted. No cards. “Thank you for supporting reading in our schools!” – Kathy Lovseth, Library Media Specialist, DLPS.
March 21 – The Lake Region Community Concert Association presents Illumine Trio (trumpet, harp, soprano) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21 at the Robert Fawcett Auditorium at LRSC. Series passes are available at the door for $45. Information on next year’s series will also be available the night of the concert.
March 24 – The annual Lake Region Boat, RV, Lawn & Garden show at the Burdick Arena, inside and out, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
March 24 – 26 – The movie “Jesus Revolution” (PG-13) will be featured at the Cando Audi Theatre. Movies start at 7:30 p.m., doors open at 6:45 p.m.
March 25 – The Holiday Mall Spring Craft Show 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the Holiday Mall, Devils Lake.
March 26 – Torsk Feed Fundraiser (poor man’s lobster) for Youth at St. Olaf Lutheran Church 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Will also include a Silent Auction and a Bake Sale. Donations for either or both will be welcomed!
April 1 – Our Savior’s Lutheran Church Fundraiser Sale from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church located at 612 14th Ave. NE. Sale will include furniture, appliances, home decor, tools and more. There will also be a Bake Sale and lunch during this event.
April 1 – City Plaza Spring Show from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. See the story below for more information.
April 11 – Deadline 4 p.m. to file a Statement of Interest and a Statement of Intent to run for two 3-year terms on the Devils Lake Public School Board. These documents are available at the superintendent’s office in the Sports Center, 1601 College Drive North, Devils Lake.
April 27 – Kiwanis French toast and sausage feed in the KC Hall. Times and costs TBA.
May 11 – 13 – Joint South Dakota and North Dakota Newspaper Convention at the Spirit Lake Casino & Resort, St. Michael, ND.
June 2 – 4 – The 2023 Devils Run is coming!
June 13 – Annual School Board Election will be held in Devils Lake.
