The Devils Lake Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a Christmas Reception at the Lake Region Art Center on Wednesday, Dec. 3 to get the holiday season off to a good start.
A lavish spread of hors d’oeuvres fed the attendees with meatballs, cheese dip, shrimp & cocktail sauce, and brownies among other snacks and finger foods.
An array of wine was provided, both with and without alcohol, but had a wee bit of difficulty opening them without a corkscrew. Enter a power drill and bit and that did the trick!
Reception goers took advantage of the open house atmosphere coming and going at will. The Devils Lake Journal was represented by Mark C. Robinson, Managing Editor, and Louise Oleson, editor, who visited with fellow newsman, Eric Arndt, from KZZY.
Acting as hostess for the event was Lisa Crosby who invited Santa Claus to attend, although this is his busiest time of year. In all it was a lovely evening of good food, good friends and a good, festive atmosphere. A fitting start to anyone’s holiday enjoyment.
