Crazy Days begins today and although it has changed considerably from the two to three day festival of bargains it used to be in the city merchants are continuing the tradition.

The Devils Lake Journal, 516 4th St. NE, has participated in Crazy Days for many years giving subscribers a CRAZY special $99 deal on a year’s subscription to the newspaper. That’s for all in-state residents, new and renewals, print editions only.
Gerrells Sports Center
Gerrells Sports Center, 415 4th Street NE, said they will be going “full on crazy!” They are cleaning house and it will be the best time to hit a home run on some great deals. Gerrells has equipment for soccer, baseball, hunting, fishing, and more for all sports enthusiasts. They will be bringing their stuff outside also! They open at 8 a.m.
Old Main Street Cafe
Old Main Street Cafe will be out in Fourth Street again this year (weather permitting, of course) with hot dogs on the grill, tacos in a bag, canned pop and bottles of water for sale for all Crazy Day shoppers.
LaMotte’s – Two Locations!
LaMotte’s is having their one day only – August 1 – Liquidation Connection – with items from Bed, Bath & Beyond, Lowes and Target – over 80 pallets and 2,300 items of shelf pulls and returns – Bargains you will not believe! This year they’ve planned to have these bargains available at two locations – TWO! Inside the Holiday Mall from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. AND their 301 4th Street NE location in historical downtown Devils Lake 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
St. Joseph Closet
The Thrift Store, St. Joseph Closet, 501 4th St. NE, will be running their famous BAG SALE for one day only – August 1 – CRAZY DAY – a bag of unmarked clothing for $5!
