Boats and captains are needed to help with the July 13 and 14 Fishing Has No Boundaries event.

The 16th annual event is held at the Spirit Lake Marina and is designed to allow anglers with disabilities enjoy fishing on Devils Lake.

Buck Hamre, who has spearheaded this two day event for people of varying degrees of abilities and disabilities, says “Bring your boat or pontoon, we will provide the rest!”

Each participant and volunteer will receive a t-shirt, fishing rods, life vest, tackle and bait.

There will be a light breakfast Saturday and Sunday – rolls and coffee.

Lunch and dinner on Saturday is provided and lunch on Sunday, too.

Medical personnel will be available, just in case they are needed.

Safe ramps and docks will need on-shore helpers.

This is a great experience with great volunteers and lots of fun for all!

Participants are accompanied by support staff.

In the past they have served more than 60 people at these events, and Hamre adds, “With YOUR help we can serve even more people!”
