On Friday, October 27, it was cold and snowy outside, but inside the Precision Ag Center, everyone was sweating to the 80s! The Key Event, an annual fundraiser for scholarships at LRSC, had an 80s attire theme. Some were dressed in sports jerseys of athletes of the time. Others took the time to dress as notable 80s celebrities. Among the 80s dignitaries were Richard Simmons, Maverick, and numerous hair metal rockers. Hundreds of attendees donned their most colorful and vibrant 80s outfits and sat down to have some food, wine, and bid on “tubular” items at auction.
The Key Event has been going on since 1992, with the exception of 2020, and every year has a different theme to make it a fun and memorable night. This is the third year holding the event in the Hofstad Ag Center.
