The Devils Lake baseball team finds itself in another tiebreaker to determine the eight teams in the East Region Tournament. The Firebirds split their regular season finale at Grand Forks Central, but the Game 1 loss was the only game counted toward conference standings.

The loss put DL at 10-10 in conference play along with four other teams vying for a playoff seed. As of press time this morning, no online announcement has been made on the tournament seedings.

The Firebirds were no hit in the 3-0 Game 1 loss.

Brock Reller went all seven innings for Central, striking out 10 batters.

DL recovered in Game 2. After a 2-1 lead heading into the fifth and final inning, the Firebirds exploded for eight runs to seal the game.

Ryan Haahr led DL with two hits while Jake Mertens got on base three times by walks.
