The Devils Lake softball team lost in five innings at home Thursday against Grand Forks Red River, 14-4.

The Roughriders scored multiple runs in every inning after the first, including six in the fifth inning to reach the 10-run rule.

The Firebirds scored a run in innings two through five, but could never get a rally going to close the gap further. Jacinda Schell had two RBIs, Krista Waldo had a single for an RBI and Olivia Light scored on a wild pitch to complete the scoring for the Firebirds.

DL plays its last regular season game at 4:30 p.m. today, hosting West Fargo.
