Storm split doubleheader on the road

Journal Staff

The DL Storm finished a three city road trip last night by splitting each game with the Grafton Spoilers.

Game one came down to the wire when Grafton was able to score on a walk off in the bottom of the seventh. Noah Widmer pitched an exceptional game and also had two hits offensively. He kept the Spoilers offense off balance and pitched the Storm out of a couple of big jams.  The final score was Grafton winning 1–0.

On the mound, Parker Vilandre got the win for the Storm in game two. Aaron Johnson and Ryan Haahr each threw an inning a piece. The Storm scored four runs early which contributed to the win. The final of game two was  9–4.

The Storm play home tomorrow night against the Fargo Expos.
