Looking at the stats, the Lake Region State College womens basketball team won or were right with their opponents in almost all categories Tuesday evening. In the end, the Royals’ shooting percentage just wasn’t enough for the team to stay unbeaten on the season.

The visiting team fell 88-73 to a salty Concordia College JV team. The Cobbers shot the ball 53 percent from the field and 63 percent from beyond the arc to ensure a win.

The Royals finished 37 percent shooting and just 10 percent from beyond the arc. Lake Region State College did a great job of holding on to the ball as the team had just eight turnovers while creating 17 Cobber turnovers.

Sara Schwanke led the way with 18 points and eight rebounds. Taylor Henningsgard also had a nice night scoring 16 points while adding eight rebounds. Kennedy Henningsgard had 13 points and eight rebounds while Becca Eberle added 13 points, seven rebounds and a game-high six assists. Shaina Stevenson had six points while Meghan Jorgenson and Taylor Swanson each had three points. Megan Cantellano added a point.

The Royals are off until Nov. 28 when they travel to Idaho to face Treasure Valley College.
