FORT TOTTEN, N.D. — After seeing its quick start to the season derailed last weekend in the championship game of the Lake Region Invitational Four Winds-Warwick-Minnewaukan got back on the winning track on Thursday with a key District 7 win over Harvey-Wells County.

The Indians got eight points from both Dorothia Santos and Jessica Hale in the fourth quarter as FW-W-M came away with a 68-62 win over the Hornets.

That same duo combined for all 15 points in the third quarter as the Indians erased a 30-29 halftime deficit.

Santos finished with a game-high 24 points, while Hale ended with 21 points. Brittany Omen, who missed the recent tournament in Devils Lake, returned to score 12 points for the Indians.

Harvey placed four players in double figures. Sheyenne Schneider and Rachel Nyhus both netted 16 points for the Hornets, while Sam Maxwell and Maggie Lorenz both added 14 points.

Four Winds-Warwick-Minnewaukan will return to action on Tuesday when the Indians travel to St. John to tussle with the Woodchucks.

Harvey, meanwhile jumps back into action on Saturday when the Hornets entertain Turtle Lake-Mercer in Fessenden.
