Wells County handles Benson County 53-12

LEEDS, North Dakota — Wells County scored 21 points to open the game and led by that score at halftime on its way to a convincing 53-12 win over Benson County on Friday.

Travis Flick scored on runs of 76 and 56 yards for the first two scores of the game. He also scored runs of four, two and 23 yards later in the game for the Bears.

Koby Houchin added runs of 16 and 41 yards for added scores for Wells County.

J.D. Schmid’s long scoring runs of 65 and 71 yards were two of the lone bright spots for the Wildcats. He finished with 207 yards on 18 carries for Benson County, which will  play at Tri County on Friday.
