North Star netters sweep Minto; Midkota stops Maddock in four
MINTO, N.D. — Perfection came ever so close to being achieved Thursday as North Star improved to 5-2 on the season with a three-set sweep of Minto in Class B volleyball action.
At least in one respect.
The Bearcats were successful on 96 percent of their serves en route to a 25-15, 25-6 25-12 win over the Rockets.
“This match was won with serving,” North Star coach Lauren Ressler said. “(Minto) had a tough time serve receiving our serves and it was great to see such a high percentage.”
Kelsey Teubner provided plenty of those successes. She tallied 10 service aces on the night, while Kayla Haugen added four.
Torie McTaggart finished with a team-high 12 kills on the night, while Caitlin Holien and Michelle Holien chipped in with eight and seven, respectively.
