Devils Lake’s Kasi Eisenzimmer (5) awaits a pass from teammate Mackenzie Wade (15) during the 2009 state volleyball tournament. Eisenzimmer recently signed to play volleyball next season at North Dakota State College of Science.

One of the most successful volleyball seasons in Devils Lake High School history was made apparent with the recent signing of standout Kasi Eisenzimmer to a national letter of intent to continue her career this fall at North Dakota State College of Science.

The signing became official in January.

Eisenzimmer recorded 887 assists this past season as the Firebirds advanced to the state tournament for the first time in 10 years.

“She was a very big part of our success,” Devils Lake coach Julie Faul said of Eisenzimmer. “Her dedication and drive helped her become one of our leaders that our team looked to all season.

“She is the type of player who adapts to each and every teammate, as well as every situation and is always thinking about the next play.”

Eisenzimmer also logged 30 kills and 28 service aces as a senior and finished her Firebirds career with more than 1500 assists.
