PETERSBURG, N.D. — Shelby Gillett and Sabrina Rude combined for 31 kills to help lead Dakota Prairie to a five-game win over May-Port-C-G on Tuesday in Class B volleyball action.

Gillett tallied 18 kills in the match, while Rude added 13 of her own as the Knights won 21-25, 25-20, 20-25, 25-18, 15-12 to post the win.

Brandy Messner chipped in with eight kills of her own for Dakota Prairie.

Sage Nichols led the way for the Knights with 29 assists on the night, while Katie Herrmann added a pair of her own.

Gillett and Rude, along with Kim Slettebak all had three service aces to lead the way for Dakota Prairie.

Jamie Knudvig led the Patriots with 10 kills in the match, while Dayna Dick added nine. Carly Idso and Dani Elliott each tallied five kills for M-P-C-G.

The Patriots were led by Kelli Ulrich and Maggie O’Keefe, who notched 13 and 12 assists, respectively.

O’Keefe also led the way with three service aces, while Idso and Knudvig each tallied two aces for the Patriots.

New Rockford 3, Minnewaukan-Leeds 0

LEEDS, N.D. — New Rockford-Sheyenne won a pair of close games in the early going to set the tone en route to a sweep of Minnewaukan-Leeds on Tuesday in Class B volleyball action.

The Rockets won 25-23 and 25-20 before taking control of the match and posting a 25-13 in the third game to complete the sweep.

Allison?Manley tallied seven kills, while Meghan Jorgenson, who paced the team with four blocks, pitched in with six kills of her own. Ashley Manley posted three kills in the match.

Kendra Liebfried notched a team-high 10 assists in the loss to the Rockets and Brenna Stone added two.

McKenzie Silliman registered 25 digs in the match for M-L, while Stone and Allison Manley added 11 and 10, respectively.

Allison?Manley led the way with a pair of service aces. Chance Engstrom and Ashley Manley each added one.
