The Devils Lake Public School System is filling some teaching openings for next fall as the current school year ends.

According to Superintendent Steve Swiontek, the school is still searching for an automotive tech for this fall and the search is on for a visual arts teacher for the middle school.

Two music teachers are still needed - one instrumental music teacher for grades 5-12 and a general music teacher at the middle school.

Interviews are currently ongoing for an elementary phy-ed teacher and a German teacher. A replacement is also needed in the ROTC program for the departing Dale Moser.

Some background checks are currently ongoing as well.

Swiontek said some vacancies will not be filled because of the declining enrollment.
