Water tour open to the public

Devils Lake inundation and protection tour set for Sept. 6.

The Devils Lake Basin Joint Water Resource Board and the N.D. Water Education Foundation are co-hosting a tour of the Devils Lake region on Thursday, Sept. 6.

Touring points of interest around Devils Lake include Devils Lake embankment construction through Lakewood area, Grahams Island State Park, inundated land in the Churchs Ferry and Penn areas as well as the East End Outlet and Tolna Coulee Control Structure.

The public is invited to attend the tour, which costs $20 per person, and includes transportation, informational materials, meals, refreshments and a one-year subscription to the North Dakota Water magazine. The tour begins and ends in Devils Lake.
