2 arrested in death of 14-year-old girl
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — St. Paul police say two men are in custody after supplying drugs and alcohol to two teenage girls, including one who died.
Authorities say a 14-year-old girl was found unresponsive in her bedroom by her parents Monday morning. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators say she and a 17-year-old girl had gone to a party with the men Sunday night in Burnsville where they drank alcohol and ingested codeine.
The older girl was taken to Regions Hospital where she was treated for a possible drug overdose. Police say the girl is in fair condition.
The St. Paul Pioneer Press says the men, ages 19 and 25, are being held on suspicion of unintentional third-degree murder.
