Grand Forks police arrest man after car chase
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — After a chase that reached 100 mph, Grand Forks Police have arrested a man sought in earlier car chases.
The Grand Forks Herald reports that 31-year-old Juan Angel Robles of Grand Forks was caught Tuesday after his car collided with a construction vehicle on a county road and got stuck on a guard rail or a small bridge west of Merrifield.
Robles was sought for a Friday chase that ended when police called off the pursuit because of the danger to the public.
He also is suspected of eluding police after a chase Sunday in which the suspect struck an officer with a stolen vehicle and dragged him for a short distance. The officer fired a shot at the man but apparently missed.
