Devils Lake man sentenced for violating order, menacing

Timothy Charron, 53, of Devils Lake was sentenced on several charges Thursday in Ramsey County Court.

He pled guilty to one count of violation of a protection order, a class A misdemeanor, another count of violation of a protection order, a C Felony, and menacing, an A Misdemeanor. 

On or about May 31, 2012 Charron pointed a pistol at the head of a woman.   

Then he was served with a protection order on June 14, 2012, and thereafter called her numerous times on June 17 leaving many crude and disgusting messages on her voice mail. On June 18, he called her cell phone again many times, leaving about 20 voice messages.

He was sentenced to 120 days in the Law Enforcement Center on the menacing charge and was ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and also a domestic violence treatment. On the misdemeanor sentence of violation of a protection order, he was sentenced to one year in the Department of Corrections, all suspended for two years. On the felony violation case, he was sentenced to three years, all suspended for three years, to be served on supervised probation.
