LARIMORE, N.D. (AP) — An infant was killed and two adults injured when a rural Larimore farm home exploded.

The cause of the Monday night blast was not immediately determined but Grand Forks County Sheriff Bob Rost told KNOX radio that authorities are looking into whether a propane tank malfunctioned. The state fire marshal's office is investigating.

Rost said 23-year-old Justin McMahon and 22-year-old Danielle Bissell were taken to a hospital with injuries.

He said 6-month-old Samantha Bissell died at the scene.

Sheriff's Department investigator Steve Hamre says the two-story wood frame farmhouse was destroyed. The Herald says debris was spread as far as 40 yards away.
