HURDSFIELD, N.D. (AP) — The Highway Patrol says a semitrailer that overturned in central North Dakota lost most of its load of liquid fertilizer but that the spill was not considered hazardous.

The crash happened on a curve on N.D. Highway 200 late Monday afternoon, in a rural area about two miles west of Hurdsfield. Patrol Sgt. Robert Kennedy did not immediately have details on the type of fertilizer or on how much spilled. Firefighters contained the spill in the ditch.

The 67-year-old driver from Gary, Indiana, was taken to a Minot hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
