PARK RIVER, N.D. (AP) — A North Dakota man is accused of attempted murder for allegedly holding a loaded gun to his wife's head while she was sleeping in a Park River nursing home.

Dave Moe is charged in Walsh County with attempted murder, terrorizing and carrying a concealed weapon. Bond was set at $75,000 cash.

Authorities say the 52-year-old Moe pointed a .357 Magnum revolver at his wife's head Wednesday night and cocked the weapon. Police say Moe's wife heard the noise of the gun and he didn't want to shoot her when she was awake.

The Grand Forks Herald reports that Moe also faces three charges of reckless endangerment for reportedly pointing his gun at deputies as they were arresting him.
