No charges likely in ND stolen steaks case
WEST FARGO, N.D. (AP) — West Fargo police say criminal charges are unlikely in a reported case of stolen steaks.
Dakota Country Foods reported on Jan. 4 that one of the company's trucks had been abandoned in Fargo and that more than 17 cases of steaks worth about $2,100 were missing.
Detective Sgt. Greg Warren tells The Forum newspaper that it appears the steaks were sold by an employee of the company, though the payment for the meat wasn't turned in. He says the case has become a civil matter.
