WEST FARGO, N.D. (AP) — West Fargo police have a meaty case on their hands.

Assistant Police Chief Mike Reitan tells The Forum newspaper Dakota Country Foods reported that one of its employees stole more than 17 cases of steaks valued at $2,100.

Reitan says the steaks were in a company truck that was found abandoned Tuesday in Fargo. He says nothing was wrong with the truck. Officers weren't immediately able to find the employee to talk to him.
