DUNN CENTER, N.D. (AP) — Authorities say one man was killed and another seriously injured when their motorcycles crashed into a ditch in western North Dakota.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the crash happened late Friday about four miles north of Dunn Center.

Authorities say one motorcycle was following the other when they failed to negotiate a turn and entered the ditch. The motorcycles overturned and both drivers were thrown.

A 54-year-old Killdeer man was pronounced dead at a Dickinson hospital. A 23-year-old man from Dunn Center is being treated for serious injuries. Their names were not immediately released.
