Probation revoked for sex offender

Journal Staff Report
State’s attorney Lonnie Olson reports that Anthony Rolland, 32, of Jamestown, had his probation revoked on the charge of Failing to Register as a Sex Offender, a C felony. Rolland had been convicted of Gross Sexual Imposition in Morton County in 2002.
In 2012, he was convicted of Failing to Register as a Sex Offender in Ramsey County, and was sentenced to four years, to serve six months, and placed on supervised probation for three and a half years.
He had his probation revoked in 2014, and was re-sentenced to four years in the Department of Corrections, to serve 18 months, and the remainder was suspended for two and a half years, with supervised probation.
Rolland was re-sentenced to five years in the DOCR, to serve two and a half years, with two and a half years suspended.
He was given credit for about 18 months time served, so he will likely serve about one year, and will be released to supervised probation.
