Two sentenced Monday on felony drug, theft charges

State’s Attorney Lonnie Olson reports that Jagan Scott, 19, of Devils Lake, was sentenced on two felony charges Monday.
On January 8, 2016, a search warrant was issued for the home of Scott and co-defendant Heather Liggett. Officers found 13 small packages of methamphetamine, along with a scale that had drug residue.
Also located in their bedroom was a number of items of property that had been stolen from several vehicles over preceeding months, including laptop computers.
Scott entered guilty pleas to Possession of a Controlled Substance (meth) with Intent to Deliver, an A felony, and Theft of Property (possession of stolen property), a C felony. Scott received a Deferred Imposition of Sentence for two years, with supervised probation, and restitution.
Liggett also received a two year deferred imposition of sentence on the drug charge on February 25, 2016, after pleading guilty.
