The Devils Lake Police Department reports that a Devils Lake man, wanted on several warrants, was arrested Tuesday with a concealed switchblade on his person and a stolen assault rifle in his vehicle.

Detective Potts of the DLPD reports that the man was pulled over based on warrants out of Grand Forks for possession of meth and carrying a concealed firearm, which was also stolen.

After a search was carried out on the local man’s home, both drugs and drug paraphernalia were found. Those charges will likely be added to the stolen firearm charge, in addition to the pending warrants from Grand Forks.

Because the case is still under investigation, the man’s name has not been released. According to DLPD, the assault weapon found in the car was an AK-series assault rifle. Charges are expected to be filed soon.
