Man on work release fails to return to LEC jail, charged with escape

The Devils Lake Police Department reports that Claude Black, Jr., 28, failed to return from work release Monday afternoon. Black was scheduled to return at 3:10 p.m. after being released to look for employment for two hours.

Black, who was incarcerated for unauthorized use and felony theft, will be charged with felony escape upon recapture.
